Dear Parents,

            On behalf of school health department, we welcome all children back to school.  As the Health and safety of your child is our highest priority, we provide you with basic information about the ongoing pandemic swine flu.


Swine flu Influenza (H1N1) is a highly contagious respiratory illness spread from person to person through coughing and sneezing of the infected person.  Infected person may shed influenza virus a day before they feel ill till 7 or more days


To decrease exposure of students and school staffs to influenza virus and to minimize the spread among the high risk school children consult your doctor, if your child has following symptoms.

1) Fever                                 2) Headache
3) Running nose                     4) Fatigue
5) Cough                                6) Vomiting
7) Difficulty in breathing           8) Diarrhea
9) Poor Aptitude.
For early intervention children with flu like illness should remain at home until at least 24 hours after they are free of fever (100°f or 37.8°c or greater)  or sighs of fever without use of fever reducing medicine.


Hopefully awareness and prevention will help our community stay healthy during this flu break. We care for your child and provides health information about swine flu, screening and early detection of respiratory infection when they arrive school, health education regarding preventive measures like good health habits and hygiene.  Proper hand washing techniques, effectiveness of face mask N 95 awareness to increase the immunity level of the child. Vaccination against the seasonal flu etc. Schools also take all measures and precautions to maintain safe and healthy environment.


It is our professional responsibility to the community to deliver good health care. We seek your co operation to prevent the spread of this illness. Once again I request you not to be panic as this is not a dangerous disease and proper precautions will prevent the spread. Let us work together to built a barrier against the spread of pandemic swine flu out break.

If you see the child is suffering from fever, cough or sneezing please don’t send them to school.
